Need to Do

My homework this week to contemplate the things that I have, how blessed I am. Look to Jesus in those times of despair. As I have seen recently, when the Lord calls us home, he can call quickly. There are many distractions in this world but they are empty without Christ. Not only are they empty but they are a pitiful… dead thing that sucks our attention… unless we unite these things with God's purpose.

Holy Spirit

My homework this week... be open to the Holy Spirit. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill those dark voids, when they happen, that threaten to lead me into despair. ASK HIM RIGHT THEN!!!

Today I went to adoration.

Here is what I heard.

"You do not perceive all that I am."

"You must unite with my suffering"

"You can embrace me through the crucified One, our Lord Jesus Christ."

Lord, how can I perceive you?

Lord, how do I unite with your suffering, not my suffering… your suffering… what is your suffering.

"Look to the rosary."…  "Wait"

Reflection/ Homework

I'm wanting Lent. Not knowing what to give up but needing Lent.

I want the Holy Spirit's peace or is this separation I feel... the next step?

This is a tough step, like God saying, "come on Jim you know what to do."

Do, I go to confession? Have I committed mortal sin? Am I growing lazy in my, considered by some, zealous religious convictions? Is this God's grace that is easing me into a more sustainable awareness? Lord am I saying no or yes to you? Lord
